trizas (shards)
2026 | 16mm to digital | 5.1/stereo | 14 minA film by Luciana Decker Orozco
Sound mix and additional sound by Tom Dixon
Two journeys intertwine anachronistically: that of an English doctor in Bolivia during the 1930s and that of the filmmaker in London in 2024. The film addresses the problematics of art through the form of shards, understood as fragments of larger worlds — windows or mirrors that open and close, briefly revealing what lies beyond. Through cinema, objects are approached as traces of trajectories from the past and the present, proposing sensitive and affective ways of relating to them.
The exploration unfolds from the Bolivian art collection at the British Museum, through the jewelry collection of the V&A Museum, to a private collection of Latin American art — all contextualized within London.
